DAY-1 : GUWAHATI – SHILLONG
Meeting & greeting by our representative at Guwahati Airport / Railways Station & proceed to Shillong (130 Kms / 2-3 Hrs) – Scotland Of East. On arrival hotel check-in for night stay. Enroute get freshen up & also visit local sightseeing places like Kamakhya Temple , Umananda Temple, Balaji Temple, Vasistha Muni Ashram & one Museum ‘Sankardev Kalakshetra’. Post lunch proceed for Shillong, on way find BARAPANI (UMIUM) Lake which is an ideal place to experience the natural splendour of Shillong, where you will spend the lovely evening hours with a cup of tea break . Night stay at Shillong.
DAY-2 : SHILLONG – CHERRAPUNJEE – SHILLONG
Post breakfast pick-up form hotel & proceed to visit Cherrapunji a land of breathtaking beauty & records as the wettest place on earth. Cherrapunji is locally known ‘Sohra’. Enroute visit Shillong Peak, Elephant Falls, Nohkalikai-falls, Nohsngithiang-falls, Dainthlen-falls, Mawsmi-falls, Mawsmi Deep Cave, Eco Park, Thangkharang Park, Ram Krishna Mission. Double decker living root bridge (NB:- If time permit us then we visit double decker living root bridge by same day otherwise will visit next day). Night Stay at Shillong.
DAY-3 : SHILLONG – MAWLYNNOG VILLAGE& DAWKI – SHILLONG
In the early morning after breakfast proceed to explore Mawsmai Cave.From here we will leave for Mawlynnong and Dawki. Mawlynnong is the cleanest village in Asia(known as God’s own Garden). Here you will Balancing Rock, Sky View Point from where you can seethe plains of Bangladesh and Tree House. The Living Root Bridge in Mawlynnong (Riwai) have beendeclared a UNESCO World Heritage Site. A little distance away from the village is Dawki from whereyou can view Bangladesh Border and take a boating experience in a clear water of the Umngot River. Night stay at Shillong.
DAY-4 : SHILLONG – MAWPHLANG – MAWSYNRAM – SHILLONG
Enjoy the breakfast in the Morning. Then proceed the Mawphalang Sacred Forest. You will see stonemegaliths at the boundary of the forest with orchids and many other species of flora dotting the forest,the place is a pure visual treat.Then proceed to Mawsynram. The botanical garden at Mawsynram is rich with varied and rare varietiesof plants and fruits. If you are a fan of magnificent rock formations, do visit the Dwarksuid – a beautifulpool which is surrounded by eye-catching rocky banks. Mawjymbuin Cave is another popular placefamous for large formation of Stalagmite to take the shape of a Shivalinga. Night stay at Shilong.
DAY-5 : SHILLONG – JOWAI – SHILLONG
After morning breakfast hit the road toward Jowai (total run today around 200 kms), en-route visit amazing landscape and pine tree of Jaintia hills district we reach over there,after reachingJowai take a break for day lunch/tea/coffee, after a lunch break start to visit Jowai sightseeing attraction spots as Durga Temple, Nartiang monoliths, Thadlaskein lake, Jarain pitcher plant lake and others and then return to Shillong, evening free for leisure. Night stay at Shillong.
DAY-6 : SHILLONG – LAITLUM – SHILLONG
Post breakfast or as per your convenient time start for Laitlum Canyons (60 Kms / 2-3 Hrs) – It is one of the most amazing picturesque tourist destination and the said tourist spots are known as “The end of hills of the world, this place attracts trekkers, adventurers and nature lovers, after visit of Laitlum Canyons return to Shillong. Night stay at Shillong.
DAY-7 : SHILLONG LOCAL SIGHT SEEING
Post breakfast proceed to visit Don-Bosco Museum- The museum highlights North East India’s rich people’s& multi-cultural lifestyles under one roof. Wards Lake- It is a men made lake where one can enjoy boating & other activities, Lady Hydri Park, Botanical Garden, Barapani(Umium) Lake. Evening time free for leisure / shopping. Night Stay at Shillong.
DAY-8 :SHILLONG –GUWAHATI DEPARTURE
Post breakfast check-out from hotel & proceed to drop at Guwahati Airport / Railway Station for your onward journey. TOUR ENDS with sweet memories.
