Entry into Bhutan can be made either by land or by air. Kathmandu, Dhaka, Bangkok and Singapore. The other prominent & reliable air carrier, Bhutan Airline (Tashi Air) operates regular flights from Delhi, Kolkata, Kathmandu& Bangkok. Both these Bhutanese airlines, also operate seasonal flights from Mumbai as well. By surface, entry into Bhutan is conveniently possible through southern border town of Phuentsholing. This frontier town is about 4.1/2 hours’ drive from nearest Indian airport, Bagdogra and 6 hours’ drive from Thimphu and Paro. Phuentsholing is also the convenient entry or exit point if you wish to combine Bhutan trip with Darjeeling, Gangtok&Kalimpong.

Direct To Paro Airport
Paro Airport in Paro is the only International airport in the region , among other four airports in the country. Druk Airline & Bhutan Airline are only airline which operates from Paro & connect major cities of India like New Delhi, Kolkata, Bagdogra, Guwahati, Ahmedabad, Gaya & Mumbai.

These airlines also connect other part of the world like Bangkok, Dhaka, Dubai, Kathmandu, Singapore & Japan.

Via Bagdogra Airport
Jaigaon Border is near to Bagdogra Airport(IXB), which help the traveller fly from various Indian cities, as most time the direct flight to Paro get filled & due to No Seat, traffic get diverted to Bagdogra Airport. By reaching Bagdogra Airport, one can also combine Sikkim-Darjeeling along with Bhutan Tour.

By Train
There are regular passenger and cargo trains that connect various major cities of the country to New Jalpaiguri (India). You can reach by train to New Jalpaiguri& our executive / representative will receive you from New Jalpaiguri Railway Station.

Other Railway Station which are near to Jaigan border are Hasimara, AlipurDuar& Cooch-Behar Railway Station. While booking train ticket, one can also check connectivity of their city to these railway station.

By Road
Bus is not very convenient option to reach Bhutan from India. But, there are State Transport Buses which connects some part of the country to Tenzing Norgay Central Bus Stand, Siliguri, West Bengal.

One can also bring his car, which is also a common practice. You are required to pay a toll fee and a transport permit at the border crossing. Do not forget to collect the receipts as you might be asked at other checkpoints. Please note, there is a lot of traffic at the border that often makes the journey tedious.
